I am a first-generation working Texan and a firm believer that the strength of our state lies in the resilience of its people. My perspective was forged early; placed into foster care at age three and adopted into a blended family of ten, I learned firsthand that we are only as strong as the community standing behind us. My mother, a business owner with a heart for strategy, raised us to be our own first support system. She taught me to stay curious, to ask the hard questions when systems don't make sense, and to never wait for permission to be the change I want to see.

That upbringing is why I refuse to settle for reactive  policy that only serves as a "band-aid". My life has taught me that while systems are large, our collective voice is larger, but only if we use it before the crisis hits. I am advocating to help repair systems at their core and building proactive solutions that serve Texans long before the breaking point. Whether navigating the current affordability crisis or recovering from natural disasters, I believe that by working together, we can find a common ground.

Beyond my professional life, I value spending time with my husband, the arts, and worshiping Christ through dance.
